By accessing or using Shazazzy ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
Shazazzy is a music discovery platform that generates personalized playlists by cross-referencing user-provided ancestry composition data with cultural music databases. The Service is currently in development; features described on this website represent planned functionality and may change before launch.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Shazazzy. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.
To use certain features of the Service, you may be required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You retain full ownership of your ancestry data. By uploading ancestry composition data, you grant Shazazzy a limited, non-exclusive license to process this data solely for the purpose of generating your personalized playlist.
Shazazzy processes only ancestry composition percentages. We do not access, store, or process raw genetic data, health markers, or any genetic information beyond ancestry composition summaries.
Once your playlist is generated, your genetic ancestry data is automatically deleted from our systems. You may also request manual deletion at any time through your account settings. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.

The Shazazzy name, logo, website design, algorithm, and all associated content are the intellectual property of Shazazzy and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
Shazazzy may integrate with third-party services including DNA testing providers and music streaming platforms. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. Shazazzy is not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that playlists will match your personal musical preferences. Heritage-based music matching is algorithmic and experimental.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shazazzy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, all associated data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
