When you connect a DNA testing provider, we access only your ancestry composition percentages (e.g., "35% West African, 28% Northern European"). We explicitly do not access:

  • Raw genetic sequences or SNP data
  • Health-related genetic markers
  • Carrier status information
  • Relative matching data
  • Any identifiable genetic information beyond ancestry percentages

2.3 Usage Data

We automatically collect standard usage information including browser type, device information, pages visited, and interaction patterns to improve our service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Generate personalized playlists based on your ancestry composition
  • Improve our music-matching algorithm
  • Communicate service updates and launch notifications
  • Provide customer support
  • Analyze aggregate usage patterns (anonymized)

4. Data Security

All ancestry data is encrypted using AES-256 encryption both in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. Access to ancestry data is restricted to our playlist generation system and is never exposed to human operators except in anonymized, aggregate form for algorithm improvement.

You may delete your ancestry data at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, all ancestry data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. Account information (name, email) is retained as long as your account is active and deleted upon account closure.
